Is Tupac Alive? Many fans (over 83% in a 2002 survey) hold on to the belief that Tupac Shakur may still be alive. There are many suspicious details about his departure that contribute to this. The uncontested facts: After leaving the Tyson fight on Saturday September 7, 1996, Tupac was alledgedly shot 5 times. He lived through the shooting and was taken to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead on Friday September 13, 1996. The suspicious facts: Friday the 13th is a very suspicious day. There were never any pictures released of Tupac in the hospital. In the song "Life Goes On", Tupac raps about his own funeral. The driver of the car in which Tupac was riding, Suge Knight (the executive producer of Death Row Records), didn't show up for questioning about the shooting. The video "I ain't Mad at Cha" was released only a few days after his death. "I ain't Mad at Cha" is track 13 on the album All Eyes On Me. The video shows Tupac as an angel in heaven. In the video, Tupac was shot after leaving a theater with a friend, which is very similar to how he was shot in real life. Interestingly, Tupac dies in his last video released under the name "2Pac". His new video "Toss It Up" from the new album was released under the name "Makaveli". The second video to be released by the name Makaveli is "To Live and Die in L.A." But how could they shoot the second video when he is "dead". Was the video really shot 4 months before his death, back in August of '96? In the video "Hail Mary" released under the name Makaveli, there is a gravestone that says Makaveli. But the gravestone is cracked and there is a hole right in front of it, inferring that Makaveli rose from the dead. A shooting involving Snoop Doggy Dogg occured close to the release of his album Doggystyle. The shooting made Snoop appear more "real" and showed his fans that he really was a gangsta. The shooting gave him respect because everyone that bought his album believed what he was talking about. Within one week of its release, Doggystyle went platnium. Snoop was signed to the same label as Tupac which is Death Row Records. In December '96, Tupac's new album went platinum. In interviews prior to the shooting, Tupac talked about how he wanted to stop rapping and being a gangsta and get out of the limelight. What is the only way Tupac could completly escape the media spotlight ??? (Answer: if the public thought he was dead.) Press wasn't going to be allowed at the funeral, but then the funeral was cancelled for unknown reasons. Tupac always wore a bulletproof vest, no matter where he went. Why did he remove it at a very public event like a Tyson fight? In most of his songs he talks about being buried, so why was he allegedly cremated the day after he "died"? And since when do they cremate someone the day after death in a murder case? Tupac's alias is Makaveli. Though the spelling is different, Machiavelli was a 16th century italian philosopher who advocated the staging of one's death in order to evade one's enemies and gain power. In Machiavelli's book Discourses Upon the First Ten Books of Titus Livy, in Book 2 Chapter XIII he says "a prince who wishes to achieve great things must learn to deceive". This is Machiavelli's main idea and is the connection between Tupac and the writings of Machiavelli. Tupac studied Machiavelli in depth while in prision was a fan and had read his books several times. Perhaps Tupac is taking his advice. Machiaveli wrote two books before his death. Look at what the All Eyez on Me disks are called.. Machiavelli's books were called, "Book 1," and, "Book 2." The CD's of, "All Eyez On Me," are entitled the same One of Machiavelli's books is, "Discourses Upon The First Ten Books Of Titus Livy," which it's claimed Tupac read in jail. In Book 2, Chapter XIII He says, "a prince who wishes to achieve great things must learn to decieve..." This is very similar to verses in some of Tupac's songs. Some say that Tupac modified the Machiavelli name because if you rearrange the letters, they spell, "Am Alive," or, "I Am Alive." The title of the new album by Makaveli (Tupac) is The 7 Day Theory. He was shot on September 7th; and survived on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and"died" the 13th. Hence the title The 7 Day Theory. Tupac's album All Eyes on Me was released on Feb.13, 1996. Tupac "died" on Sept.13, 1996. It is quite a coincidence that the two dates are exactly 7 months apart. Tupac officially died at 4:03 PM. 4+3 = 7 Also he "died" at an age of 25 years. 2+5 = 7. It seems as if seven is Tupac's number. < There is nothing in the new album that says TUPAC RIP 1971-1996. Wouldn't it make sense to include something like that in the first album after his "death"? The only thing mentioned is "EXIT TUPAC ENTER MAKAVELI".

De aanvaller werd in zijn geboorteland geopereerd aan zijn enkel en mag sinds maandag oefeningen doen die zijn enkel weer op krachten moeten brengen. ,,Ik wil iedereen laten weten dat ik niet kan wachten om weer aan de slag te gaan bij Ajax", vertelde Rosales. Op de vraag wanneer hij precies geopereeerd werd, antwoordde Rosales: ,,Eénenveertig dagen geleden. Ik ben aan het aftellen omdat ik zo graag weer aan de slag wil." Onder toeziend oog van de clubarts van Ajax voerde een Argentijnse chirurg de ingreep uit. ,,Ik voelde wel dat er wat gebeurd is aan mijn enkel natuurlijk, maar echt veel pijn had ik gelukkig niet, alleen als er wat druk op het gewricht kwam te staan." Vanaf de dag van de operatie tot twee dagen geleden kon de Ajacied niet veel doen. ,,Ik mocht mijn enkel niet belasten dus ik heb alleen wat krachttraining voor de bovenkant van mijn lichaam kunnen doen. Sinds afgelopen maandag moet ik oefeningen doen. Ik loop nu met krukken en hoop vrijdag of zaterdag wel enigszins te kunnen lopen. Maar dat is mijn inschatting, ik weet niet precies hoe snel het gaat, want deze operatie heb ik nooit eerder gehad." Toen Rosales in Argentinië was voor zijn operatie, raakte zijn teamgenoot Maxwell in Nederland zwaar geblesseerd. ,,Ik heb hier gezien op de televisie dat Maxwell geblesseerd raakte. Verschrikkelijk. Als ik eraan denk wat hem is gebeurd en wat hem te wachten staat, stelt mijn blessure niet zoveel voor. We bellen elkaar af en toe en sturen elkaar berichtjes, ik hoop echt dat hij voorspoedig herstelt." Naast zijn Braziliaanse teamgenoot heeft de Argentijn ook veel contact met Edwin Goedhart, de clubarts van Ajax. ,,Eigenlijk heeft mijn arts in Argentinië veel contact met hem, over de vorderingen van het herstel en dergelijke. Maar ik spreek hem ook regelmatig. De bedoeling is dat ik iets eerder begin met trainen bij Ajax dan de rest van de groep. Met de fysiotherapeut en de conditietrainer van de club ga ik wat eerder aan de slag om op tijd klaar te zijn om de voorbereiding mee te maken. In de les zat ik vaak raps te schrijven en lol te trappen om de dag door te komen. Huiswerk maken deed ik niet. Pas wanneer er een proefwerk aankwam, ging ik de stof bestuderen. Gelukkig hadden we een leraar die altijd voor het proefwerk de vragen al verklapte. Ik heb dus wel mijn diploma gehaald.” Was je een rustige leerling of meer een relschoppertje? “Ik zat op een school voor Consumptieve Technieken, waar ik het brood- en banketbakkersvak leerde. De helft van de opleiding bestond uit praktijkles waar we heel wat rotzooi getrapt hebben. Zo was het een populaire grap om ongezien een bonk gist in de deegmachine te laten vallen. Wanneer het deeg uit die machines dan moest rijzen om het wat luchtiger te maken, veranderde het deeg in een soort grote luchtballon. Ook moesten leerlingen vaak schoonmaken na de les. Wanneer dat iemand was die we een geintje wilde flikken, gooide we snel wat eieren stuk op de vloer. Soms hadden we ook van die spuitzakken voor slagroom die we dan rondzwaaiden als een lasso. Dan zat het hele lokaal onder.” Stond je op school vaak in het middenpunt van de belangstelling? “Ik werd in mijn klas wel gezien als een soort leider. Ik stond toen al bekend als een entertainer. Iemand die dingen leuk kan vertellen en zo de aandacht van een groep vast kon houden. Ik was ook degene die de populaire jongens op hun plek wees en het opnam voor de zwakke leerlingen. Leraren maakte gebruik van mijn leidersrol, wanneer ze iets voor elkaar wilde krijgen. Ik kon met één blik de klas stil krijgen als het moest. Maar wanneer een leraar iets zei waar ik het niet mee eens was, zei ik het natuurlijk ook.” Lag je goed in de markt bij de meiden? “Ik was heel populair bij de vrouwen. Maar vreemd genoeg heb ik nooit een relatie gehad met een meisje van mijn opleiding. Ik had ook niet zo’n behoefte aan een geïsoleerd leven als vriendje en vriendinnetje. Ik zoende wel vaak meisjes, en soms ging ik met ze naar bed. Maar altijd op een eerlijke manier. Ik was geen player.” Michael Silva (23), jeugdvriend van Ali: “Ali was altijd in voor een lolletje” “Ik heb echt gelachen met hem vroeger. Toen hij in Almere kwam wonen was hij al snel de entertainer van de buurt. Je hoefde maar wat tegen hem te zeggen en hij rapte erover. Ali was altijd in voor een lolletje. Er gebeurden ook altijd rare dingen met hem. Eens was hij thuis een frikadel aan het bakken, maar toen hij halverwege naar de buren ging om een cd’tje te luisteren van Osdorp Posse, was hij die frikadel straal vergeten. Toen is de hele benedenverdieping afgefikt. En dat terwijl hij leerde voor kok! Ook was altijd op discussies uit. Het maakte niet uit met wie, soms was hij wel met dertig man tegelijk aan het lullen. Stond hij daar soms als dertienjarig jongetje tegen lui van 28. Dat maakte hem niets uit. Nu is hij wel iets serieuzer geworden, maar dat entertainende heeft hij gehouden. Ik ben erg trots op hem wat hij bereikt heeft.”

The average rapper wouldn't be able to grace the pages of Rap Pages, VIBE, Rolling Stone, Spin, The Source, URB and Stress and go on a national tour months before their major-label debut album is released. Then again, Eminem isn't an average rapper. He's phenomenal. The impending release of the The Slim Shady LP, his first set on Aftermath/Interscope Records, already has underground hip-hop heads fiending for Eminem. Chock full of dazzling lyrical escapades that delve into the mind of a violently warped and vulgar yet extremely talented wordsmith, the 14-cut collection contains some of the most memorable and demented lyrics ever recorded. For Eminem, his potentially controversial and undoubtedly offensive songs will strike a chord with a multitude of hip-hop loyalists who believe they have little to lose and everything to gain. "I'm not alone in feeling the way I feel," he says. "I believe that a lot of people can relate to my sh*t--whether white, black, it doesn't matter. Everybody has been through some sh*t, whether it's drastic or not so drastic. Everybody gets to the point of 'I don't give a f**k.'" Those words are more than just a slogan for the Detroit resident. "I Just Don't Give A f**k" and "Brain Damage" are the two songs comprising Eminem's initial single from The Slim Shady LP. Each tune is sure to paralyze meek listeners with their relentless lyrical assault. Produced primarily by long-time collaborators FBT Productions, the Slim Shady LP also features beatwork from Aftermath CEO Dr. Dre. The N.W.A. alum handled beats for "My Name Is" (the second single), "Guilty Conscience" and "Role Model." Dr. Dre was so impressed after hearing Eminem freestyling on a Los Angeles radio station that he put out a manhunt for the Michigan rhymer. Shortly thereafter, Dre signed Eminem to his Aftermath imprint and the two began working together. Thoroughly impressed with Eminem's previously released independent Slim Shady EP, Dre said they would include many of the EP's tracks on the album. "It was an honor to hear the words out of Dre's mouth that he liked my sh*t," Eminem says. "Growing up, I was one of the biggest fans of N.W.A, from putting on the sunglasses and looking in the mirror and lipsinking to wanting to be Dr. Dre, to be Ice Cube. This is the biggest hip-hop producer ever." But like many other rappers, Eminem's rise to stardom was far from easy. After being born in Kansas City and traveling back and forth between KC and the Detroit metropolitan area, Eminem and his mother moved into the Eastside of Detroit when he was 12. Switching schools every two to three months made it difficult to make friends, graduate and to stay out of trouble. Rap, however, became Eminem's solace. Battling schoolmates in the lunchroom brought joy to what was otherwise a painful existence. Although he would later drop out of school and land several minimum-wage-paying, full-time jobs, his musical focus remained constant. Eminem released his debut album, Infinite, in 1996. Desperate to be embraced by the Motor City's hip-hop scene, Eminem rapped in such a manner that he was accused of sounding like Nas and AZ. "Infinite was me trying to figure out how I wanted my rap style to be, how I wanted to sound on the mic and present myself," he recalls. "It was a growing stage. I felt like Infinite was like a demo that just got pressed up." After being thoroughly disappointed and hurt by the response Infinite received, Eminem began working on what would later become the Slim Shady EP -- a project he made for himself. Featuring several scathing lines about local music industry personalities as well as devious rants about life in general, the set quickly caught the ear of hip-hop's difficult-to-please underground. "I had nothing to lose, but something to gain," Eminem says of that point in his life. "If I made an album for me and it was to my satisfaction, then I succeeded. If I didn't, then my producers were going to give up on the whole rap thing we were doing. I made some sh*t that I wanted to hear. The Slim Shady EP, I lashed out on everybody who talked sh*t about me." By presenting himself as himself, Eminem and his career took off. Soon after giving the Rap Coalition's Wendy Day a copy of the Infinite album at a chance meeting, she helped the aspiring lyrical gymnast secure a spot at the Coalition’s 1997 Rap Olympics in Los Angeles, where he won second place in the freestyle competition. During the trip, Eminem and his manager, Paul Rosenberg, gave a few people from Interscope Records his demo and he made his major radio debut on the world famous Wake Up Show with Sway and Tech. Realizing that this was the opportunity of his lifetime, Eminem delivered a furious medley of lyrics that wowed his hosts and radio audience alike. "I felt like it's my time to shine," Eminem says of that performance. "I have to rip this. At that time, I felt that it was a life or death situation." Eminem would soon record the underground classic "5 Star Generals." This record helped establish him in Japan, New York and Los Angeles. It also helped him earn a spot on the inaugural Lyricist Lounge tour, which took him to stages from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Set to take the hip-hop world by storm with his unique lyrical approach and punishing production, Eminem and his The Slim Shady LP are sure to have listeners captivated. "I do say things that I think will shock people," he says. "But I don't do things to shock people. I'm not trying to be the next Tupac, but I don't know how long I'm going to be on this planet. So while I'm here, I might as well make the most of it."
